Why should we get married on Maui?
Why
not Maui? Maui has the most incredibly beautiful sunsets,
warm white, black and red sand beaches, lush tropical gardens,
a real 'aloha spirit'...but wait, there's more!--you can
have your wedding here AND stay for a few days for a fraction
of the cost of an average mainland wedding ($23k). Our wedding
packages begin at $675. It can be as simple or elaborate
as you desire.
How difficult is it to get a marriage
license in Hawaii?
Not
difficult at all! It's actually very easy. We will arrange
a license appointment for you with an agent. You both need
to 1. Be present with a valid photo identification, 2. Pay
a $60. fee in cash to the agent, and 3. Sign the form in
front of the agent! This whole process takes approximately
15-20 minutes and that is all!

Isn't is stressful to plan a wedding
from the mainland?
It
doesn't have to be! It really depends on who your wedding
coordinators are! Here at A Maui Style Wedding, we have
a full staff of wedding professionals to assist you every
step of the way on your path to your perfect wedding experience.
In addition, many couples have commented that weddings away
are nearly always more intimate, relaxed, personalized and
memorable than their mainland counterparts at home. It is
also a great way to limit the guestlist--thus cutting down
on cost--without offending anyone.
Is it appropriate to wear a traditional
gown if I am getting married on the beach?
Here
on Maui--anything goes!! Some brides and grooms dress super
formal on the beach. Others choose to wear casually elegant
attire. Still, others have worn a gorgeous wedding sarong
topped off with a sexy bikini top!
What if I have special requests?
Then,
please call us to chat--or 'talk story' as we say here in
the islands! We love to accomodate unique and creative requests.
And if it is at all possible, we will make it happen for
you.
